• You can use Ali Alladin Busmastering IDE drivers.

VXPRO

• The VXPRO chipset is a relabeled VIA Apollo VP-1 chipset.
• You can identify the VXPRO by looking at the Award BIOS Number: 2A5LAH09C
• The BIOS number also reveals the real name of the chipset: 2A5LA stands for a VIA Appollo VP-1 chipset.
• H0 stands for Hsing Tech/PcChips
• Because it's a VIA chipset you can use the latest VIA Busmastering drivers. (see http://www.bmdrivers.com)
• You can find BIOS updates at the PcChips website. The model to choose is M537 (don't choose M537DMA33 !!)
• Note that this board is also being sold under the following names: Sybercom MB537, Ability (model: ???), Protac MB5370, Eurone/Matsonic (model: ???), Aristo (model: ???), Houston Technologies M537, PCWare (Alton). THESE BOARDS ARE IDENTICAL TO THE PCCHIPS M537 !!
• The latest BIOS Release at PcChips shows this BIOS number: 08/15/97 - VXPro-UMC8670-2A5LAH09C-00 and also Release 08/15/1997 S at the top of the screen.

VXPRO+

• The VXPRO+ chipset is a relabeled VIA Apollo VPX chipset.
• You can identify the VXPRO+ by looking at the Award BIOS Number: 08/14/97-VXPro+-USB-Ultr-2A5LDH09C-00 or 04/30/98-537+UMC8670F-2A5LDH09C-00. (If you have 04/30/98-573+ITE8661F-2A5LDH09C-00 as BIOS number you have a PcChips M573 motherboard; see TXPRO III chipset) 04/30/98-573+ITE8661F-2A5LDH09C-00 as BIOS number you have a PcChips M573 motherboard; see TXPRO III chipset)
• The BIOS number also reveals the real name of the chipset: 2A5LD stands for a VIA VPX chipset.

• Differences between M558 & M559: M559 has onboard sound + DIMMs (558 has only SIMMs)

• Used in Amptron PM8600
• There are two versions of the PM8600: PM8600A (rev 2.5) & PM8600B (rev. 5.5)
• Only the PM-8600B has the Ultra DMA/33 IDE protocol and Asynchronous PCI Clock features
• PM-8600A (rev. 2.5) does not support USB features. Only, the  PM-8600B (rev. 5.5) has a fully functional USB controller
  • The PM-8600A uses a VXPro / VIA VP-1 chipset
  • The PM-8600B uses a VXPRO+ / VIA VPX chipset.

"VIAgra" chipset:

• VIA MVP4 82C501A north bridge (integrates Trident Blade3D
  graphics core), 686A south bridge (integrated SuperIO, plus an integrated
  sound unit that is unused on this board). Used on M585LMR. www.via.com.tw.

GFXcel (aka SiS 630)
